How do Viasat’s unlimited data plans work?
The sky is now the limit for rural high speed satellite internet! There are no limits to how much data you can use during your monthly billing cycle with Viasat’s new unlimited data plans. However, if you use more than 150 GB of data and the network is congested, Viasat may prioritize your data behind other Viasat customers.
Question: How does this differ from Exede’s Freedom plans?
Answer: If you used more than 150 GB of data on a Freedom Plan, your speeds were slowed all day, every day until the end of your monthly billing period. With Viasat’s NEW unlimited data plan, your speeds remain normal even after 150 GB of usage. However, during high traffic hours when the network is busy, we may prioritize your unlimited plan data behind other Viasat customers after you exceed 150 GB of data usage. This may result in occasional slower speeds.
